How to Subscribe
The Landcare Gateway has the option for users to subscribe to automatic email notices of News and Events, topics or areas, ie group sections.
If you wish to subscribe to content then you just first join the Gateway and then login.
Subscribing to content
Subscription is done with a single click when registered users are logged in. When viewing a page or section (folder) which you wish to subscribe to, use the subscribe box on the left of the page. Please note that subscriptions to news or events pages are not enabled, so you will need to subscribe to the full site. Notifications are sent immediately after new content is added, so you may get multiple notices some days.

For example, to be notified of any new information added into a Landcare group's website area, navigate to the group section, and click on the subscribe button. If you subscribe to the group site home page, you will be notified of new content in any of the sections within the group site.
If you wish to subscribe to all changes in a regional site, navigate to the home page, tick the 'subscribe to folder above' and then click on the subscribe button. This will notify you of all new content within the entire site.
Logged in users can check or change their subscriptions by clicking on their username in the user menu at the top left of the site then clicking on "subscriptions" link, available in the user menu. This will allow you to see your subscriptions and select to unsubscribe to these if required.
RSS Feeds
If you only wish to see the latest news or events, you can subscribe via RSS Feeds, if your browser supports these. This will allow you to see the contents list at the schedule you choose. The Gateway has the capability to enable these feeds for pages such as News and Events, or searches. This will operate differently to the email subscriptions.
To enable an RSS feed, navigate to the page you wish to subscribe to, e.g. a regional News page. At the bottom of the page will be an RSS Feed link.
Click on this link, which will take you to the page to enable you to subscribe to the feed. Once you subscribe, this feed will be available via your browser feeds or bookmarks, with your browser automatically updating the feed according to the times you specify.
