The Wooragee Landcare Group covers the upper reaches of the Reedy Creek, including the Wooragee and Woolshed valleys. The group area is primarily made up of lifestyle and small holdings, with a few large farms remaining.
The group has been implementing coordinated programs for biodiversity protection, weed and rabbit control in the area, focussing on promoting best practices. The group has also been assisting landholders to fence out and revegetate the creek to control and prevent erosion.
Wooragee Landcare Group has managed or been involved in a number of educational DVD's to meet these aims, and distributes a regular newsletter to assist landholders to protect and manage their natural environment.
